More About Me
I currently work full-time at AORN, where I oversee the digital learning team and AORN’s strategy for clinical education. Here, you can find me managing the development of new courses, leading project scopes and timelines, and identifying new processes to promote better workflow and an even better learning experience.
I always find it important to share that this was not always my professional focus. I initially began my career in children and adult disability services as a case manager where I navigated state and federal resources for my caseload. After a few years of working in this field, I transitioned into a management position where I was tasked with creating learning programs for case managers and their caseloads. This is when I first discovered my passion for creating learning experiences. What began as designing scenario-based trainings on topics such as participating in personal hygiene care; learning how to take public transportation; and how to practice safe spending, ended with me doing the work I do today.
Enough about that! Here are some fun facts about me outside of my professional work:
I am a huge nerd and love high fantasy novels, movies, and retro games. I love playing Magic the Gathering and RPG games such as Baldur’s Gate with my husband.
I own a Suzuki S40 and Harley Davidson 72.
I perform with Ballet Initiative in Indianapolis, IN.
I am fascinated with birds of prey. So fascinated, in fact, that I volunteered for the Portland Audubon before moving to Indiana.
